The Company

Gugusan Maritime Sdn. Bhd, (GMSB), was incorporated in 1997 under the Companies Act 1965. The main purpose of the Company is to conduct shipping business with emphasis on shipbroking, chartering, sale & purchase and other marine related services. GMSB is managed by a team of experienced and professional local individuals who are very well versed in their business and well connected locally, regionally and globally with other shipping networks. It is a majority-owned Bumiputra company.

The decision to venture into this business was prompted by the following reasons:
  • Shipping related business currently handled by local companies, particularly in shipbroking, is comparatively low considering the volume of seaborne trade the country is handling. There is good potential for expansion and thus our believe that the business can offer rewarding opportunities.

  • Local cargo owners and shipowners and operators are too dependent on foreign shipbrokers.

  • Key personnels in the Company have extensive knowledge and experience in shipping with vast networking amongst shipowners, cargo owners and shipbrokers.

The Company is registered with the Malaysian Ministry of Finance (MOF) under the following code :
